One of the easiest ways to get your iPhone bricked and rendered useless, is to Jailbreak it. By Jailbreaking your iPhone, you are essentially surrendering all your rights to the phone, as it is no longer supported by Apple. Add to that the fact that Jailbreaking considerably slows down your iOS Device, and causes problems each time you connect your device to iTunes. Keep in mind, Jailbreaking in NOT authorized by Apple, which is why it’s called Jailbreaking.

By Jailbreaking your device, you might do permanent damage to it, which even after you restore original factory settings, cannot be reversed. Another term for Jailbreaking is Hacking. You Hack you iPhone to make it do things it wouldn’t normally. And although after Jailbreaking, you might be tricked into thinking that you’re the coolest kid on the block, soon you’ll realize how big of a mistake you’ve just made.

True Story: I tried Jailbreaking my phone once, the next thing I knew, I had to put it on eBay for sale, as the Jailbreak completely messed up my iPhone. After the Jailbreak, I started expressing problems such as: Screen of Death, Apps Crashing, Calls Dropping, Reduced Battery Life, etc… So in essence, I sacrificed my fully functioning iPhone for couple fancy black-market Apps. I learned my lesson. Never again.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that after you Jailbreak your iPhone, your device is no longer covered by the standard Apple warranty.

Jailbreaking also exposes your device to malicious software (viruses) that can not only damage your iPhone, but also compromise your Security/Privacy.

In conclusion, I’ll just say this:

Jailbreaking you iPhone is simply not worth the time and effort.
