As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve switched over from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S5. I absolutely love my new phone, except the fact that it has a tendency to flood the RAM, which constantly slows down the phone. It’s no fault of the phone, but the Android OS, which seems to have an unsatisfactory memory and power management system. Another downside of this is that it causes the phone to drain a lot of battery power pretty quickly – this can be frustrating, especially if you’re traveling and have no access to a charger or a power-outlet.
In this post, I’ll be sharing some quick and easy Tips to speedup your Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5, with just a few taps.
So, without further ado, let’s get straight to it.
Step #1: Download ‘Battery Doctor’ and ‘Clean Master’ from the Google Play Store. This are the best Android Apps for Battery and Memory management. Battery Doctor optimizes your phone by exiting unnecessary processes and Apps running in the background, thus prolonging your Battery Life.
Clean Master scans your phone for junk/cached files and data, and efficiently frees-up memory (RAM).
Step #2: Uninstall unnecessary Apps – or Apps that you do not use on a regular basis. Games also tend to drain a lot of battery. Try to download games that are lightweight, as opposed to heavy ones like Temple Run or Angry Birds.
Step #3: Whenever possible, Turn OFF the Wi-Fi on your phone. Wi-Fi drains your battery really quickly. It also slows down your after a while.
Step #4: If possible, Turn OFF Auto-Update – which is a feature of Android that automatically downloads the latest versions of the Apps installed on your phone. This feature, although convenient, will drain your battery real quick, and also slow down your phone dramatically.
If you follow the steps mentioned in this blog post, you’ll see a real difference in the Speed and Battery Life of your Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5.
