Alright, Alright, Alrrrriiiiiight!
This might be probably one of the most Ironic and Hypocritical posts I’ve ever written. The guy who allegedly makes his living selling Mobile Apps, hates Smartphones? Hmmm… WTF is that all about?
First of all, I don’t HATE Smartphones!
I LOVE Smartphones!
But what I don’t like is the fact that Smartphone Overuse can have some serious and lasting negative effects on your health that simply cannot be ignored. As a matter of fact, the statement: “Mobile Phones FRY Your Brain.” – isn’t far from the truth. Prolonged use of Mobile Devices (Phone-To-Ear) can cause serious damage to your Brain Cells (Neurons and Neural Pathways) and also negatively affect your Hearing. Sometimes, Smartphones, the ones that require a lot of computing power and as a result drain a lot of battery, can literally EXPLODE in your hand while you’re talking on the Phone. But those are things that have been known for years; based on some of the facts that I’ve mentioned so far, one might get the impression that the health hazards that come along with using a Smartphone are only limited to situations where you are physically holding the phone to your ear – I’m here to tell you that, that’s only half the truth. In reality, Smartphones damage your body in a multitude of different way. For example, Men, having a Smartphone in the Pocket of your Trousers/Jeans, can negatively affect your body’s ability to produce Healthy Sperm.
For lack of a better term, Smartphones can not only FRY your Brain, but also your Balls.
Enough of that!
In this blog post, I’m going to share my personal observation with you, that directly affects your Vision and your ability to see and experience the world around you.
Case Study: Smartphones Causing Blurred Vision?
Like many kids, I too hated Vegetables and especially Broccoli while growing up. As a result, my vision suffered and by the time I was in 8th Grade, I was forced to wear Prescription Glasses; and I’ve been wearing them since. So I have 15+ Years of Experience wearing Prescription Glasses. I like to think of myself as a Health and Nutrition FREAK. For 10 years, my prescription was the same. Never changed. It wasn’t until recently that over the past 5 years, my Prescription has changed (increased) 4-5 times. Now part of it can be attributed to my job requiring me to sit in front of the computer for 8-10 Hrs per day. But that’s not something that’s new to me. I’ve done that for majority of my life; since the days of Windows 95 with those huge bulging monitors, that had super large pixels. In fact, the computer monitors that I use today are 1080 Pixel HD Monitors, and are specifically designed to not put strain on my eyes. So despite this, How The F**K did my prescription go UP literally every year for the past 5 years? The answer is Smartphone Overuse.
What we don’t realize is that Smartphones with their tiny little F**KING screens put a lot of strain your eyes. Your eyes have to work hard to adjust in order to read those tiny characters on your Smartphone. Over a period of time, this changes the structure and shape of your eyes and can cause Blurred Vision (Near-Sightedness or Far-Sightedness).

I could go on and on, but in conclusion, I’ll just say this:
Use your Smartphones in moderation. The technologically advanced and plugged-in age that we live in, it is impossible to completely stop using our Mobile Devices (Smartphones). With that said, we can certainly make a concerted effort to reduce the amount of time we spend staring at the tiny screens of our Smartphones on a daily basis.
