AirDrop For iPhone – Use AirDrop To Share Content With Other iPhone Users

Remember the days when only the rich and the chosen ones could share content using Infrared and Bluetooth?

For the young folks out there who probably got an iPhone on the day they were born, Mobile Devices were pretty expensive back in the day. In fact, only a select few people could afford to own Mobile Phones. Not just that, but the monthly bill was upwards of $500, and ran in the thousands for some folks. The concept of data sharing on mobile devices wasn’t even invented at that time. It was not until 2003-2004 I believe, when NOKIA introduced their latest Symbian OS and a lineup of what back then were considered as “Smartphones”, that people could share content .i.e. Contacts, Photos, Ringtones, Messages, etc… wirelessly.

Turn Your iPhone Into a Wi-Fi Hotspot

iPhone Wi-Fi

Sharing is caring; or at least that’s what everyone wants us to believe.

Now you can share your LOVE and Wi-Fi .via. iPhone.

Many people don’t even know this cool feature even existed. But it does, and I’m going to show you how you can turn your iPhone into a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been in a situation where I needed to email a presentation or important documents, pay my bills, check the status of my flight, etc… and I couldn’t do it because I didn’t have Wi-Fi Connectivity; and the wireless hotspots that did have Wi-Fi Connectivity .i.e. Airports, I had to pay to use the Wi-Fi. Greed, I tell you! And although the iPhone is probably the greatest thing conceived by the human mind since sliced bread, it is limited in the number of things it can do. The iPhone is not a viable substitute for a Laptop or a Desktop Computer. I’m an old fashioned guy. I love my Laptop and I love the Windows OS installed on it; and I love an actual Keyboard that I can touch and feel, and that makes a sound every time I hit a key. So for me, the iPhone, nor the iPad, can ever replace the Laptop and Desktop Computer.

iPhone Battery

While surfing some Apple Forums and Message Boards this week, I noticed a common recurring theme among the iPhone loyalists: The poor battery life of iPhone 5. Although the observations varied from user-to-user, everyone seemed to agree that the battery life of iPhone 5 isn’t what Apple markets it to be.

Should You Be Buying a New iPhone Every Year?

iPhone 5 Box

One of the biggest dilemmas iPhone user face is, whether they should buy a new iPhone every year? What I mean by that is, every year Apple announces a new version/iteration of the iPhone, which to be completely honest, isn’t a lot different than the one you currently own; it’s just the perception and the hype that Apple is masterful at creating, that makes every iPhone user question their sanity and force them to contemplate buying a new iPhone, when they don’t really have to. Supply and Demand – that’s how large corporations make their money. Apple just so happens to be at the top of the food chain.

iOS 7 iPhone Screenshot

We’ve all been there.

Apple announces the latest update of the iOS; we see that little red notification on the Settings icon, and without even thinking twice, or reading the Change-Log, we immediately proceed to download and install the latest update; only to find out that we don’t really like it and it’s probably messing with some other key functions of your iPhone. Feeling buyer’s remorse, aye? If only there was a way to reverse this and go back to the old versions of iOS, how cool would that be? The iPhone, just like everything else in this universe, isn’t PERFECT. It’s merely a mortal piece of electrical circuits and wirings, that at some point, is bound to stop working. How To Create An iPhone Ringtone

iTunes iPhone Ringtone

Do you know why Smartphones are awesome? Because they are really SMART.

I remember back in the day, when NOKIA was the biggest player in Mobile devices .i.e. Cell Phones. The Symbian OS was probably the greatest thing since sliced bread. Those black and white phones with small screens and a really bad display were once considered as a symbol of wealth. I remember, one of the hardest things to do on those phones was creating a Ringtone. I used to spend hours punching complex codes on the keyboard trying to create a Beethoven masterpiece. Ah, the good old days.

How To Improve iPhone Battery Life

iPhone Gold Diamonds Case

For a long time, one of the knocks against the iPhone has been its “Not So Efficient” Battery Life. Every year, the CEO of Apple (Steve Jobs and now Tim Cook) takes the stage to introduce a new version of the iPhone, promising that this time it would be different; this version will have the Greatest Battery Life of All Time. And what’s more cool is that every year they seem to have a different name for the Battery: Lithium Ion, Quantum Reserve, Intergalactic Darth Vader Compounded Ion Battery, etc… you get the point. And every year, the iPhone Loyalists are left with nothing but disappointment. Now I’m not saying the iPhone’s battery is flat-out pathetic; don’t get me wrong. I just believe that Apple needs to do more to improve the battery life of its iOS devices, especially the iPhone.
