Best iPhone Travel Apps

I’m yet to meet a person in this world who doesn’t love to Travel and experience new places/cultures. I myself am a huge Travel nerd, and I make it a point to visit a new City every year. Last year I visited Prague (Czech Republic). It was the most beautiful experience of my life. And all this couldn’t have been possible with my personal Travel Guides .i.e. The Travel Apps on my iPhone.

Best Free Internet Download Manager

This is a follow-up to yesterday’s post about Free Download Manager For iPhone.

A Quick Recap:

  • iPhone doesn’t have a built-in Download Manager that allows users to download Media files and Documents directly from the internet onto their iPhone.
  • Fortunately there are some really good Download Managers available on the iTunes App Store.
  • Some of these Download Managers are FREE and some of them are PAID.
  • Even though I personally prefer PAID apps, since they don’t have all the annoying Ads, Download Managers are an exception to that rule. Download Managers don’t require a lot of interaction with the actual app; hence it makes no sense to pay for them, when you can get them for FREE. In my experience, a majority of Download Managers on the iTunes App Store have non-intrusive ads.

In this post, I’ll be sharing a list of The Best Free Internet Download Managers for iPhone.

Free Download Manager For iPhone

Unlike Android, the iPhone doesn’t have a built-in Download Manager for downloading media files and documents directly from the internet. The most you can do on an iPhone is Save Images from Google to your camera roll; that’s about it. This, in my opinion, is a major setback for iPhone. The reason I say that is because a significant majority of iPhone users would love to have the ability to download files on their iOS device. Well, worry not! You’re at right place. Keep reading.

Finding Good iPhone Apps Is Harder Than You Might Think

Despite being THE MOST PROFITABLE app store in the world, you’d be surprised at the number of BOGUS apps listed on the iTunes App Store. With over $10 Billion in total app store sales last year (2013), one would expect that Apple would tighten its standards and demand exceptional quality from its App Developers; and although they’ve taken steps in recent years to eliminate some of the low quality apps from being approved and listed on the iTunes App Store, it’s still not enough. Every once in a while, you’ll notice that bogus/low quality template based apps like Flappy Bird find their way to the top of the iTunes charts, outta nowhere, thus leading unsuspecting users to believe that because this app is #1 on the Top Free Apps list or the Top Paid Apps list, it might be the BEST app on the iTunes App Store; which is simply NOT true. There are a million ways to get an app to rank #1 on the iTunes App Store. The fact is, the iTunes App Store is not perfect, and smart App Developers game their ranking system all the time, by generating fake (paid) downloads, and paid reviews. I’ll do a blog post on this, in which I’ll explain in more detail how the App Developers/Sellers game the system, and make millions off of unsuspecting users; but that’s a discussion for some other time.

Beware of Free iPhone Apps

Let’s be honest, EVERYONE, irrespective of their bank balance, loves FREE stuff. Whenever we read the word FREE, we tend to immediately pounce on it, without thinking even for a moment exactly what it is that we’re get ourselves into. A wise man once told me, “Son, NOTHING in this world is FREE.” That’s the cold hard truth of life. So anything that has the word FREE attached to it, usually has some hidden motive which you might not notice at first, but soon you’ll find yourself having Buyer’s Remorse. The same is true for all the FREE iPhone Apps that are currently listed on the iTunes App Store.
